BD will be delivered in January-April 2025, later than the original September-December 2024
Kodoani.com – The official Japanese website for the TV anime adaptation of the yuri manga Whisper Me a Love Song (Sasayaku yō ni Koi wo Utau) by author Eku Takeshima announced on Thursday that its Blu-ray Disc release in Japan will be delayed for four months due to “production circumstances.”
Specifically, the new release schedule of the Blu-ray discs is as follows:
The first Blu-ray, originally scheduled for September 13, has now been pushed back to January 31 of next year. The second has been delayed from October 11 to February 28. The third has been delayed from November 8 to March 28. The fourth has been delayed from December 13 to April 30.
The official website previously announced in June that the remaining episodes of the anime had been delayed by at least two weeks due to production issues. The anime aired two compilation specials—”Prelude” covering the first two episodes and “Interlude” covering episodes 3 through 6—on June 8 and June 15. The ninth episode of the new anime aired on June 22, and episode 10 aired on June 29. However, the anime has yet to air the final two episodes.
The anime premiered on April 13 on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation channel, after being delayed once before. HIDIVE is currently streaming the anime simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast schedule.
Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga Whisper Me a Love Song digitally and in print in English.
The story revolves around Himari, an energetic, cheerful first-year high school student who falls in love with her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori that she loves her, and to her surprise, Yori tells Himari that she loves her. However, when Himari realizes that their feelings for each other are two different types of love, she begins to wonder what “love” really means.
