Kodoani.com – Website for long-running anime series adapted from light novels “The New Gate” by Shinogi Kazanami released its first promo on Thursday. The video also revealed the anime’s voice cast and release date in April.

The anime will air on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 in April.
One Peace Books describes the manga’s first volume as follows:
“THE NEW GATE – an online game turns into a life and death struggle for players. Thanks to the brave efforts of Shin, the strongest of them all, the game ends and freedom for everyone seems within reach. But moments after Shin defeats the game’s final boss, he finds himself bathed in an unknown light and transported about 500 years into the future of the game’s world. Thrown from a simple game gone wrong to a strange new land, a young swordsman with unparalleled power prepares to embark on a legendary journey!”
Kazanami began publishing the story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become a Novelist) website in 2013. AlphaPolis began publishing the story in print in December 2013, with art by Makai no Jūnin. In August 2016, Kazanami removed the story from Shōsetsuka ni Narō and AlphaPolis put the story on its website. AlphaPolis published the 22nd novel volume on November 30.
Miwa launched the manga in November 2014 on AlphaPolis’ manga website.
