The popular manga series Romelia Senki is getting an anime adaptation, the announcement was made today along with the release of the fourth manga volume.
The series was originally a web novel by Ryo Ariyama, later published as a light novel with illustrations by Ryo Karima under Shogakukan's Gagagaga Bunko imprint.
The series has since been adapted into a manga, with character designs by Kodama, and serialized on the MAGCOMI and Manga Doa apps.
The light novel series has four volumes, with the fifth volume scheduled to release on September 18.
Romelia Senki's story revolves around Romelia, a countess who faces a tragic downfall after her prince fiancé calls off their engagement after defeating the Demon King.
Left alone and helpless, Romelia uses her unique ability to bring good fortune to rebuild her life.
She returns to her homeland, which is still overrun by monsters and remnants of the evil army, and begins to gather supporters and fight for her cause while having no financial resources.
To celebrate the anime's announcement and the milestone of selling over 400,000 copies, MAGCOMI will be holding a fan lottery.
