This was one of the biggest mass destruction events in the anime and defined the entire series.

When King Sweyn reveals his plans to invade Wales, Askeladd has something to reveal as well. He declares his true name to be Lucius Artorius Castus, a name given to him by his mother in honor of a Welsh hero. He beheads Sweyn before he himself is killed by the king's guards, put an end to Thorfinn's quest for revenge for his father before he really had the chance.

He initially received praise for creating the first chimera capable of talking to humans. However, he has done nothing since then and his status as an alchemist is in question. When Ed and Al first met Shou, he was a caring father with an adorable daughter named Nina and a dog named Alexander.
When they returned to see Shou again, he had a brand new chimera that could talk again! While Ed was excited, he realized all too well what had happened. In an absolutely disgusting act, Shou used his dog and daughter for chimera experiments. He fused them together to create an abomination, losing his status as an alchemist and becoming one of the worst dads in anime.

1 Reiner and Bertholdt are Titans – Attack on Titan

Reiner and Bertholdt are two of the strongest fighters the Scouts have to offer. They are smart, trustworthy, and very strong. They have been through everything with Eren and the other Scouts, so when they are revealed to be the Armored Titan and Colossal Titan, Eren's world is shattered. Reiner cannot handle the pressure his lies are creating and tells the Scouts that it was him and Bertholdt who caused all of their suffering.
Eren goes on a rampage, transforming into a Titan and charging at Reiner. It was a moment so shocking it was hard to watch. Eren ate and fought alongside the two men responsible for his mother's death. The betrayal was so brutal, it's no surprise that Eren went insane afterward and decided that the only way to truly make the world understand his feelings was to crush them.
