In the anime world, there are minor characters, rarely appearing and sometimes even unnamed, but these people make the plot of the story progress.
Here are 6 such names in anime:
1. The man asked Gol D. Roger about the Pirate King's treasure – One Piece
In the anime version of One Piece, when the execution of Pirate King Roger was about to begin, suddenly a citizen asked about Roger's assets. And Roger's answer ushered in the epic Age of Pirates.
Although this man does not appear in the manga version, Roger apparently answered someone's question before being executed. So it's funny to imagine that the Age of Pirates began because a man whose name isn't even mentioned was curious about Roger's treasure.
2. Saburo – Kimetsu no Yaiba
Saburo is just an ordinary villager whose house is located on Tanjiro's commute to work. On a night of heavy snowfall, Saburo invited Tanjirou to sleep at his house when he was struggling to return home after selling all the coal to the town under the mountain. Uncle was also the one who reminded Tanjirou about the appearance of demons and talked about the Demon Slayer Corps.
The next morning when Tanjiro returns home, he finds his entire family dead and only Nezuko is left alive. However. Nezuko has become evil.
For example, if Tanjiro went home the night before, he could die or become a devil because of Muzan. If Tanjiro and Nezuko both become demons, Giyuu will slaughter them. Therefore, it can be said that Kimetsu no Yaiba started only because Saburo helped Tanjiro.
3. Grandpa Gohan – Dragon Ball
Son Gohan is one of the important characters in the Dragon Ball universe. However, Grandpa Gohan is only a supporting character.
When the story begins, Grandpa Gohan is dead. He then appears as a spirit to briefly fight Goku, after which he usually only appears in filler movies or flashbacks.
But Grandfather Gohan's influence was very great, he was the one who found Goku when he wandered to Earth. He later tried to take care of Goku, when the boy was still wild and difficult to control because of his Saiyan instincts.
The moment Goku falls into the ravine while being carried by Gohan, Goku becomes a good character. Goku admits that he became the hero he is today thanks to Gohan's teachings.
For example, if Goku wasn't found by Gohan, what would happen? Will he lose his life prematurely by a powerful warrior on Earth? Will he still fall and live well?
4. Mud Monster – My Hero Academia
This Mud Monster only appears in the first part of My Hero Academia. Deku was able to meet All Might in person because the monster attacked him. This meeting revealed All Might's secret to Deku.
The mud monster then escaped from All Might's siege, trapping Bakugo and wreaking havoc. This incident caused Deku to show his heroic side to All Might, allowing the hero to adopt Deku as his successor.
If the Mud Monster had never acted, Deku might never have become a hero, and One For All was pushed down to Mirio Togata as originally planned, while Bakugo graduated from UA alone.
5. Mizuki – Naruto
If you don't count the extra anime episodes, Mizuki appears very little. But his role was shown from the very beginning of Naruto's adventures.
He manipulated Naruto to obtain the forbidden jutsu scroll containing many powerful forbidden jutsu. What happened next made Naruto realize what a good teacher Iruka was.
Thanks to this incident, Naruto was able to use the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Iruka also gave Naruto a ninja headband, as a token of recognition to Naruto.
6. Dario Brando – JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Dio Brando's crimes in the original JoJo universe were left untouched until the sixth title. It all started with Dario Brando, Dio's father, who treated his son poorly. In fact, it was so bad that Dario later died from being poisoned by Dio.
Dio was then taken in by the Joestar family and caused a tragedy that lasted a long time.
If only Dario had treated his son better, or at least not to the extent of letting Dio murder him, the whole Joestar family story might not have happened.
