Sakamoto Days Chapter 172 Summary
Chapter 172 of Sakamoto Days opens with a carnage scene, where the bodies of JAA assassins are scattered everywhere, all victims of Uzuki. Kanaguri, Kumanomi, and Akira are present, witnessing the devastation. Kanaguri believes that Uzuki, now manifesting the personality of Takamura, has become the most dangerous assassin in JAA history. He watches in amazement as Uzuki demonstrates his terrible power.
Kumanomi, unaware of Uzuki's altered state, approaches him with excitement. She is delighted at Uzuki's ability to take down multiple enemies despite his injuries, feeling confident that they can complete the mission without Haruma and Gaku. However, Uzuki suddenly shatters her mechanical arm with his blade.
When Akira asks Kanaguri for help, he refuses to help because he sees himself as the director and Akira as the heroine. Uzuki advances towards Akira, preparing to attack, but hesitates when Akao's personality takes over. He sends Kumanomi away with a slap, urging Akira to leave.
The next attack could have been fatal, but Akira intervened in time and saved Kumanomi. Unaware of why Uzuki attacked her, Kumanomi went berserk in Sakamoto Days Chapter 172. She wondered if she had done something to anger him and blamed Akira for his condition.
Akao explains that the multiple personalities inside Uzuki were formed from his memories of those people. Since he remembered Takamura as a violent killer, he copied that behavior. Akira, confused, asks Akao how Uzuki recognized her in Sakamoto Days Chapter 172, even though they had never met.
Akao then tells her that she talked a lot about Akira to Uzuki when she was alive, leaving Akira confused about the nature of Akao's relationship with Uzuki. Chapter 172 of Sakamoto Days ends with a scene of Uzuki and Akao standing next to each other, seemingly having a conversation.
