Kodoani.com – Shogakukan revealed in the description of volume 17 of the manga Futo's Aunt that this series is about to enter the end. Previously, on January 15, the series officially entered the “final phase” of the storyline.
Futo's Aunt is the sequel to the series Kamen Rider W (pronounced “double”) since 2009. Riku Sanjōa major author of the original series, continues to handle the scripts for the manga, while Masaki Satou (author of Love Theory) in charge of illustration. Producer Hideaki Toei oversees the series, and Katsuya Terada (who has worked on projects such as Blood: The Last Vampire and Silk Road Kids) is credited as the creature designer. Like in the original series, this sequel continues to be set in Futo Citywith two main characters Shotaro Hidari and Philip.
As described by Toei, the manga's plot still revolves around protecting the city of Fūto from strange events, with the appearance of Tokimea mysterious woman, and the threat of a new evil force.
Futo's Aunt first appeared in magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits in August 2017. Shogakukan will publish the 17th volume of the series on October 30.
A special part of the series, the cartoon Futo Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull from Shozō (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull), which will be shown in Japanese theaters from November 8, tells the story of the origin of Kamen Rider W.
The anime adaptation of the manga, titled FUTO PIpremiered on the channel Tokyo MX on August 8, 2022 and previously streamed on U-NEXT on August 1st. Crunchyroll aired this anime in many regions, including North America, South America, Europe, and other regions. This anime also marked 50th Anniversary series launch Kamen Rider.
Additionally, the comic series also inspired a stage play called Fūto Tantei The STAGEto be performed from December 2022 to January 2023 in Tokyo and Osaka.
