The One Piece manga finally concludes the first arc of the Final Saga: Egghead Arc. While the crew heads towards Elbaf, the remaining characters are left to deal with the aftermath of the battle. The four Elders return to Mariejois except for Saturn.
As revealed in One Piece Chapter 1125, Saturn refused the Vice Admiral's offer to pursue Luffy. However, Imu brutally killed him. The mysterious ruler of the world was not happy that Saturn let Joyboy escape from his hands.
However, the Elder begs for his life, stating that Luffy's power is unpredictable and beyond his understanding. It is important to note that the Gorosei are some of the strongest characters in the series, and even they cannot comprehend the true extent of Luffy's abilities. Saint Figarland Garling replaces Saturn as the God of Science and Defense.
Luffy has the power of the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Nika, which grants him the power of the legendary Sun God. Saturn's last words are a testament to Luffy's unparalleled power, but Imu still shows no mercy to his subordinates. Fans are excited to see Luffy get the hype he deserves.
One popular theorist shared, “Saturn was such a hateful character that he wasn’t defeated like a respectable villain. Instead, he was humiliated by Luffy, failed in his mission, and Imu killed him like an insect. A trashy ending for a trashy character.”
“So Imu killed Saturn not because he leaked the message, but because he couldn't stop Luffy. 'His power is beyond my comprehension,'” another wrote.
