Samurai Deeper Kyo's Manga Series to Launch Simultaneously in Japan and the United States in November 2023
Kodoani.com – Manga KATANA Beast (Jūshin no Katana) by author Akimine Kamijyo just ended with the final chapter published in the 41st issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on Wednesday. The fifth and final compiled volume of the series will be released on November 15, 2024with seven special bonus pages.
KATANA Beast launched on November 1, 2023simultaneously in Weekly Shōnen in Japan and in Kodansha's K Manga in the United States.
The plot revolves around twelve tribes corresponding to the Chinese zodiac signs, each with their own special powers and having fought for power for centuries. To end the war, the Emperor proposes holding 5-on-5 representative battles, where “beastblades” from each tribe fight on behalf of their tribe. The story follows Princess Ibusuki of the Rabbit tribe – the weakest tribe – as she searches for a hero to protect her tribe and meets Hijimaru of the legendary Lion tribe.
