Kodoani.com – Shueisha's February issue of Ultra Jump magazine published a special oneshot for the manga Alice-san Chi no Iroribata (Beside the Hearth at Alice-san's House) by Bunta Kinami on Saturday, commemorating the series being adapted into a live-action television series. This oneshot story is a prequel, taking place before the events of the final chapter in the manga.

The manga tells the story of Alice, a girl who returns to her childhood home in a remote countryside after 10 years of living in Tokyo. The house, built in traditional Japanese style with a sunken fireplace (irori), evokes precious memories of her childhood. Here, Alice reunites with her childhood friend Harumi, and the two begin to rebuild their relationship after a period of separation.
The action television series version of the series premiered on many television stations in Japan, including BS-TBS and TV Kanagawa on January 7, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting and KBS Kyoto on January 11, CBC TV on January 12 and HBC on January 13.
The Alice-san Chi no Iroribata manga was launched by Kinami on Ultra Jump in October 2020 and ended in March 2023. Shueisha released the fourth and final volume in May 2023.
Previously, Kinami launched the RWBY: The Official Manga manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform in December 2018, and ended it in June 2020. The RWBY series was published in three volumes, and Viz Media published it. published in English in digital and print formats, attracting the attention of international readers.
