Go to Go manga will launch in Weekly Young magazine on January 27
Kodoani.com – The eighth issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine announced on Monday that the duo Tōto Hasuo (story writer) and Haruna Nakazato (artist) will launch a new manga series titled Go to Go (Rank and Go) in the next issue, released on January 27. This will be the magazine's first manga focusing on the traditional Japanese game Go, offering a novel direction for readers.
Hasuo and Nakazato collaborated on the manga Endroll Back, released on the Manga UP! by Square Enix in 2019. The series ended in 2021, lasting three volumes. The first volume was published by Square Enix in 2020, while the final volume came out in 2021. Alien Books released Endroll Back in English in April 2024 and the third volume on October 29 of the same year .
Besides, Nakazato is also the author of the BLAST manga series, released on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service from September 2022 to July 2023. This series also spans three volumes.
With Go to GoHasuo and Nakazato promise to exploit the appeal and tactical depth of Go, an intellectual game with a history of thousands of years, to bring a unique and engaging story to fans.
