The first episode of Solo Leveling season 2 is finally here, and it's amazing. Based on the light novel by Chugong, season 2 began with the “Red Gate arc”, Sung Jinwoo went with a group of hunters into a gate said to be C-rank. But after they entered, the gate turned red. , locking them inside until they defeat the boss or an escape incident occurs.
Right from the start, episode 1 was a bloody war. The red gate transformed enemies from C rank to B rank and higher. The 10-man hunter team, including Han Song-Yi, immediately had to confront dangerous ice elves and ice bears. But amidst all the breathtaking action and all-out performance of Sung Jinwoo's dark army, fans were distracted by one important thing… Sung Jinwoo's brilliance.
Sung Jinwoo had an impressive transformation in season 2 of Solo Leveling
In the first episode of Solo Leveling season 1, Sung Jinwoo showed himself to be a weak person. Although very brave, he is not at all physically imposing, and is usually the shortest hunter in any dungeon, has unkempt hair, and wields a small dagger. Compared to the first episode of season 2, Sung Jinwoo is like a completely new man.
Fans immediately enthusiastically shared on social networks their reactions to Sung Jinwoo's shocking change in appearance. One fan shared: “This spectacular change needs to be included in history books!”.
Episode 1 of season 2 also showed a drastic change in Sung Jinwoo. Before taking her younger sister Sung Jinah to a parent-teacher conference at school, she noticed her brother's sudden change, commenting, “So people can change that much.”
Solo Leveling fans can't stop watching Igris in action
As well as Sung Jinwoo's incredible physical transformation, Solo Leveling fans have been obsessed with Jinwoo as he shows off his entire army of darkness. At the end of part 1, Jinwoo embarks on a “career-changing quest” that forces him to fight magical soldiers, archers, and mages, before facing the incredibly powerful Igris. After defeating them, Sung Jinwoo changed his job to Shadow Monarch, allowing him to capture the shadows of defeated enemies and add them to his ranks of shadow soldiers.
After setting out to hunt ice bears at the red gate, Sung Jinwoo decided to test the power of the dark army. These soldiers were on par with regular ice bears, but were destroyed by Tank, a much larger and more fearsome Ice Bear. Jinwoo then sends Igris into battle, tearing Tank apart in a matter of seconds, revealing one of the best animated fight scenes in the series to date.
